My name is Ali Fishner. I am a senior at the University of Oregon studying Public Relations and Spanish.
After my first year in the School of Journalism and Communication at the university, I realized that public relations offers an extensive way to reach others and influence change. My experience as a barista has led me to a newfound interest in fair trade issues and the politics of locally-owned companies versus chains. Most of all, I have developed a brutal caffeine addiction. I hope to someday incorporate these topics, minus that addiction thing, into my future in public relations.
I look forward to being a part of the world of PR and learning more about the capabilities of social media. Above all else, I am excited to see what others in the field have to say and learn from their experiences.
